About this deal

His voice was a little crackly when he said, “I looked up, thought, Damn, she’s pretty, and then I was like, Oh, holy shit, it’s the whackjob from the plane but with normal hair. A lot of the book deals with both Bailey and Charlie’s feelings about their parents separating and dating again (more Bailey than Charlie, who doesn’t tend to disclose as much). now that doesn’t mean i didn’t like it, i mean i did give it four stars and i for the most part find myself to be a picky rater, but i loved this! when scott showed up at the pizza place when bailey and her mom were having a girls' night to PROPOSE, i nearly lost my shit because the timing could not have been worse; the one day it's just bailey and her mom?

Soon enough feelings between Bailey and Charlie begin to develop with the help of some “fake dating” but Charlie has a secret. Since I wasn’t related to this jackass of a man in any way, shape, or form, I was going to have to disagree with him and say that it wasn’t okay for me—at seventeen—to be nipping out and bare-legged in front of his fortysomething ass. she did fall for c-dog, and also tried to sabotage her mom's relationship with a wonderful guy; but i'm not a child of divorce, so i don't know how hard it could be to adjust to a new "dad". his inner monologue was everything, the way he canceled a party at his house because SHE NEEDED HIM? saw somewhere that this gave 10 things i hate about you vibes which just happens to be my fav movie, so now i must confirm if it’s true or not!

Though the miscommunication/lack of communication trope - one of my least favourite types of tropes - used for the plot really had me disappointed. Charlie is a bit of a cynic who believes that girls and guys can't just be friends, and Bailey just wishes that Charlie would shut up on a 10 hour flight from Alaska. spoiler* For real though, if someone was going to give me their pet that they loved more than almost anything, just to prove to me that they would never leave me.

In the beginning I loved the hints but after a while I got annoyed AND THIS IS COMING FROM A SWIFTY! The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. seeing bailey navigate her feeling towards her mums new relationship and troubles with her dad was great too.I wished Charlie had a lil bit of bigger chapters because the angst from this chapters made me feel so much. I didn't like the decisions some of the characters made and I didn't like the miscommunication near the end of the book.

i was really hoping they'd have a conversation about how bailey felt about her mom and scott's marriage. chapters of banter, 3 entire pages describing an incredibly passionate make-out session, and so many pop culture references, but no actual story. The ones who “need to jump wholeheartedly into fictional romances, simply because escaping into the joy of what I didn’t have was somehow comforting and hopeful.I don’t know that I would have even requested this one had Tess not ( loudly ) sung the praises of the author’s debut novel ‘Better Than the Movies’, but I’m so glad I did. I did think that their relationship was missing something as I read through the book, which is weird because this author has always delivered on relationships for me in the past. When seventeen-year-old Bailey starts a new job at a hotel waterpark, she is less than thrilled to see an old acquaintance is one of her coworkers. Their friendship was fantastic and I loved how it started to become more especially after the fake dating weekend.
